Aman Appoints Novak Djokovic As Its First-Ever Global Wellness Advisor

Djokovic will be conceptualising special events and programmes for guests focused on wellness.

In a strategic alliance of mastery, Swiss-headquartered hotel group Aman has appointed globally renowned Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic as its first-ever Global Wellness Advisor. Through a multi-year partnership, Djokovic, who is one of the world’s greatest athletes, will be conceptualising special events for Aman Club and Residence owners, annual wellness retreats, and specially-curated programmes accessible to guests all year round.

Founded by Indonesian hotelier Adrian Zecha in 1988, Aman Group has been an emblem of wellness throughout the years, having combined wellness with luxury hospitality across its 35 properties in 20 countries internationally. Its entire brand philosophy is centered on wellness, priding itself on a holistic, integrative wellness experience that fuses local healing traditions with tranquility and seclusion amidst outstanding settings.

Aman has had a similar partnership in 2023 with Russian former world number one tennis player Maria Sharapova, who was engaged as the brand’s global wellness ambassador. As part of her ambassadorship, Sharapova came up with a half-day strength and recovery programme for Aman New York’s daily spa offerings. She will also be hosting a Building Resilience: A Maria Sharapova Retreat at Amanzoe in Greece this September.

Aman will be leveraging on Djokovic’s decades of expertise and success to enhance its wellness offerings for guests through unique programmes and events happening at its resorts, honing in on his mental and physical wellbeing experience from both on and off the court. His new title will also involve work with Aman Essentials, the hotel group’s luxury skincare, fragrances and accessories brand, as it also falls under wellbeing, particularly for future product development and brand extensions.

Djokovic holds the most Grand Slam titles in the history of men’s tennis, and has consistently demonstrated a relentless pursuit of excellence, mental resilience, and exceptional skill, setting himself apart as an icon in the world of sport. He is also the world record holder for the greatest number of weeks at World Number 1, and behind his tennis success is his commitment to fitness, innovative training techniques, and strategic play. Most recently, he also bagged an Olympic Gold medal at the Paris 2024 Games.

“To remain competitive at the highest level, over an extended time period, demands for more than skill,” shared Djokovic. “Over the years, I have cultivated a comprehensive daily wellness routine, combining mental health, nutrition, and fitness, that has enabled me to achieve sustained success both on the global stage and in my personal life. Sharing those learnings with Aman guests will be both a privilege and a pleasure.”
