What to Expect Onboard Norwegian Aqua, Norwegian Cruise Line’s New Vessel

The newest addition to Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet, Norwegian Aqua, features lots of entertainment at sea.

Expect everything from the world’s first hybrid slidecoaster to immersive LED-lit sports courts, luxe Thai cuisine, and a floating infinity pool deck.

At 10% larger than its predecessors, Norwegian Prima and Norwegian Viva, the vessel offers an expanded outdoor deck, additional guest capacity, and the highest staff-to-guest ratio of any contemporary cruise ship in its class. In true Prima fashion, however, the luxury lies in the details – from oversized daybeds by the pool to sprawling duplex suites with uninterrupted views of the open sea.

With comfort and design in mind, Norwegian Aqua invites guests to spread out and relax. The main pool deck now features generously sized daybeds – a first for the fleet – while an infinity-edge pool gives the illusion of floating directly on the water. Over at the adults-only Vibe Beach Club, loungers are plentiful, and the views uninterrupted. It’s a breezy, sun-drenched space that you may struggle to leave.

For those craving more than rest and relaxation, Aqua introduces ten standout experiences set to redefine cruise entertainment.

Aqua Slidecoaster – The Drop.

1. Aqua Slidecoaster

Equal parts rollercoaster and waterslide, the world’s first slidecoaster at sea zips riders across three decks of sharp twists and exhilarating drops. Expect high speeds, splash zones, and panoramic ocean views – all in one breathless ride.

The GLOW Court.

2. The GLOW Court

At this LED-lit sports arena, guests can play basketball, football and other group games on a colour-shifting, neon-floored court. Spectators can lounge in comfort and soak in the scene from the adjacent bar-style seating.

Sukhothai.

3. Sukhothai – Thai Speciality Dining

Bringing elevated Thai cuisine to the high seas, Sukhothai marks NCL’s first foray into dedicated Thai dining. Expect crisp salt and pepper prawns, flavourful beef Nam Tok Neua, vibrant curries, and fried red snapper topped with mango and lime – all served with a sea breeze in indoor or alfresco settings.

Planterie at Indulge.

4. Plant-Based Plates at Indulge

The new Planterie eatery, part of the ship’s Indulge Food Hall, features fully plant-based bowls and soups. Favourites include the Moroccan bowl with saffron couscous and roasted veg, and the coconut-rich Jamaican bowl with jerk butternut squash and pomegranate. The food hall houses ten complimentary global venues, from tapas and Indian cuisine to BBQ.

Infinity Hot Tub.

5. Ocean Boulevard

Take a 360° stroll along Ocean Boulevard – a sweeping seaside promenade complete with infinity pools, bars, art installations, and lounge nooks. At La Terrazza, guests can unwind with a book and a cocktail, while The Concourse now features the Aqua Selfie Sculpture – made for your next holiday profile pic.

Aqua Game Zone.

6. Aqua Game Zone

This sprawling indoor playground merges retro arcade classics with VR-enhanced adventures. Whether you’re battling aliens in space-themed mini golf or guiding Ms. Pac-Man through mazes, the Game Zone is family-friendly fun for all generations.

Vibe Beach Club Bar.

7. Vibe Beach Club (Expanded)

With even more room to unwind, the upgraded Vibe Beach Club offers the best views on board – best enjoyed with a chilled drink in hand. It’s a private, adults-only sanctuary where you can soak up the sun or retreat to shade without the crowds.

The Haven Duplex Suite.

8. The Haven – Now with Three-Bedroom Duplex Suites

This ship-within-a-ship concept caters to luxury-seekers. The all-new Haven Duplex Suite includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, private balconies, and access to an exclusive sundeck, pool, and restaurant.

Swirl Wine Bar.

9. Swirl Wine Bar

Tucked between Hasuki and the Whiskey Bar on Deck 6, Swirl is an intimate spot for sipping your way through premium reds, whites, and sparkling bottles. Perfect for a pre-dinner glass or a low-key nightcap.

Prince’s Revolution Tribute Show.

10. Revolution: A Celebration of Prince

A dazzling new theatre production pays homage to the late music legend, Prince. Featuring hits like Purple Rain, Kiss, and Little Red Corvette, the high-octane performance invites guests to sing and dance along. For night owls, Pop Life – a Prince-themed dance party – continues the festivities into the early hours.
