Summer is almost here, and Dior is gearing up for the sunny season with its annual Dioriviera pop-up in several cities this year. The global activations will span Bali, Seoul, Ibiza, Capri, and Portofino, but one destination stands out for its warm weather all year round: Penang, Malaysia.
This is not the first Dioriviera pop-up in the country, as the French Maison has previously introduced the concept to Desaru Coast in the southern region of peninsular Malaysia, as well as a Dior Café installation in its capital city of Kuala Lumpur last year.
Following these and other successful pop-ups around the globe – from the very first Mykonos concept to a Beverly Hills Hotel takeover in California to a dreamy setup in the vibrant shores of Ibiza – Dioriviera brings the Maison’s spirit of sun-drenched elegance to the enchanting bamboo-lined tropical gardens of Macalister Mansion, a small boutique hotel reflecting Penang’s colonial past.
Debuting from June 13 to August 11, 2025, the exclusive pop-up promises to transform this colonial landmark into a dreamy Mediterranean-inspired escape. Visitors can step into this immersive experience that pays homage to the eternal dreams of travel cultivated by Christian Dior through a collection of ready-to-wear clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories, and Maison capsule. It’s the ideal retail destination to complement Penang’s culturally-rich heritage and well-known food scene!
Speaking of food, Dior Café will also serve as a highlight of the pop-up. Expect a trail of Dioriviera-themed treats curated with a summer twist, indulging patrons as they browse through the brand’s iconic Toile de Jouy designs – perhaps picking up the new Dway slides or D-Bobby straw hat along the way.
