Louis Vuitton’s latest exhibition is now open in Osaka, and it’s nothing short of breathtaking. Titled Visionary Journeys, the immersive showcase runs from 15 July to 17 September 2025 at the Nakanoshima Museum of Art, Osaka.
This is just in time for the lead-up to World Expo Osaka Kansai 2025. Marking the House’s 170th anniversary, this exhibition is a celebration of craftsmanship, innovation, and the French maison’s long-standing creative dialogue with Japan.
Curated by esteemed fashion historian Florence Müller and brought to life by architect Shohei Shigematsu of OMA, Visionary Journeys is split into twelve distinct chapters. The exhibition presents over 1,000 objects, including 200 Japan-specific artefacts, offering visitors a deep dive into Louis Vuitton’s storied past and future-facing vision.
From the moment guests enter the museum’s soaring five-storey atrium – greeted by monumental Monogram washi-paper trunks lit like glowing lanterns – they are transported into a world of artistry and imagination. The centrepiece? A dome of 138 iconic trunks forming a symbolic “trunk hemisphere” that sets the tone for this transformative journey.
Exhibition Highlights

Beyond the sensory spectacle, Visionary Journeys also offers exclusive merchandise at its gift shop – including an Exhibition Notebook, a Collector’s Catalogue, and an early-release edition of Louis Vuitton Japan published by Rizzoli.
Whether you’re a fashion aficionado, design lover, or cultural explorer, Visionary Journeys redefines the Art of Travel through archival treasures, contemporary icons, and boundless imagination. Don’t miss it.
