MICHELIN Keys: A New Award for the World’s Best Hotels

You've heard of Michelin stars for restaurants, now say hello to Michelin Keys for hotels.

The MICHELIN Key Guide boasts a rich and extensive history that spans numerous decades. Its origins can be traced back to 1900 when the Michelin brothers, André and Édouard, decided to create a guidebook for motorists. This guidebook was initially intended to provide practical information such as maps, tire repair instructions, and fueling stations.

However, in 1926, the Michelin brothers introduced a groundbreaking addition to the guidebook — the inclusion of recommendations for hotels and restaurants. The purpose was to provide travellers with information about the best places to stay during their journeys.

Fast forward to the year 2024, the guidebook has evolved into a platform that bestows prestigious awards. The introduction of the MICHELIN Keys signifies the latest addition to the esteemed accolades presented by the MICHELIN Guide.

So what does it signify?
