World Gourmet Festival 2025 Returns to Bangkok For 25th Edition

The World Gourmet Festival 2025 at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel marks its 25th edition with a week of culinary artistry from 22–28 September.

Bangkok is preparing for a feast of epic (pro)portions as the World Gourmet Festival 2025 returns to Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel for its 25th edition. From 22–28 September, the city will once again transform into a global dining capital, bringing together an unprecedented line-up of Michelin-starred chefs, world-renowned restaurants, and culinary innovators.

The festival, launched in partnership with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), UOB, Chang, Diageo, Tatler Asia, Turkish Airlines, and Maserati Thailand, has grown into one of Asia’s most distinguished gourmet gatherings. This year’s milestone event promises more than exquisite plates – it is a celebration of flavour, artistry, and global connection.

The Culinary Stars Align

For one week, Bangkok becomes the epicentre of culinary collaboration. Curated by Kristian Brask Thomsen – culinary storyteller and strategist behind Dining Impossible – the festival unites 16 Michelin-starred restaurants representing 22 stars in total, alongside seven establishments from The World’s 50 Best and Asia’s 50 Best. Four Green Star chefs will showcase sustainable gastronomy, while award-winning talents recognised as World’s Best Female Chef, Asia’s Best Female Chef, and Asia’s Best Pastry Chef will headline key events.

The line-up reads like a roll call of global culinary excellence. From Eric Vildgaard of Copenhagen’s three-star Jordnær and Vaughan Mabee of Amisfield in New Zealand, to Dave Pynt of Singapore’s Burnt Ends and Prin Polsuk of Bangkok’s Samrub Samrub Thai, the names reflect both tradition and innovation.

Guests can also look forward to the creativity of Paco Méndez from Barcelona’s COME, Grégoire Berger of Dubai’s Ossiano, and Janice Wong, whose edible art installations have made her one of Asia’s most visionary dessert pioneers. Bangkok’s homegrown talents, including Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn of Le Du and Nusara, and Pichaya “Pam” Soontornyanakij of Potong, stand alongside international stars, underlining the city’s place at the heart of the global culinary map.

Immersive Dining Experiences

The festival’s celebrated format offers three nightly journeys: Gourmet Discovery, which brings together once-in-a-lifetime collaborations between culinary icons; Gourmet Encounters, where international chefs and Thai masters craft menus in a spirit of cultural exchange; and Gourmet Icons, which showcases solo tasting menus that reflect the full vision of individual chefs.

Each evening unfolds across Anantara Siam’s celebrated dining venues. Madison becomes the stage for bold pairings such as Dave Pynt with Prin Polsuk, while Biscotti reimagines Italian traditions through the creativity of Grégoire Berger and Pam Soontornyanakij.

Spice Market sets the scene for a rare six-hands dinner with Eric Vildgaard joining forces with Bangkok’s Sühring brothers, while Guilty embraces Peruvian flair with Paco Méndez and Francisco Araya. The Lobby Lounge transforms into a sanctuary for indulgence as Janice Wong presents her multisensory dessert creations, blurring the lines between art and gastronomy.

Beyond the Plate

World Gourmet Festival 2025 is not only about the evening spectacles. During the day, the programme expands into panel discussions, masterclasses, wine tastings, and mixology showcases. A highlight will be Janice Wong’s afternoon tea, an immersive experience that reflects her reputation for pushing the boundaries of pastry. The festival week begins with an opulent ballroom soiree and concludes with a celebratory brunch in Parichart Court, a fitting finale to toast the festival’s stars and stories.

A Festival of Firsts

This silver jubilee marks several milestones in the festival’s history. It welcomes the largest gathering of Michelin-starred chefs ever to appear under one roof in Bangkok, while also bringing multiple restaurants from The World’s 50 Best list to Thailand in a single week for the first time.

The programme also reflects a new commitment to accessibility, with experiences ranging in price from THB 1,800 to THB 18,500, ensuring that a broader audience can share in the celebration.

Equally important is the festival’s focus on sustainability. Green Star chefs will present menus that highlight eco-conscious practices, while workshops and panel discussions are designed to inspire Thailand’s next generation of culinary professionals.
