With only a fortnight remaining until the announcement of The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024, the extended list of bars ranked 51-100 has been released for its eighth iteration. The annual list is determined by a voting panel consisting of over 700 independent drinks experts, famous bartenders, and educators, alongside award-winning drinks writers and cocktail specialists across the world.
The extended list includes bars spanning 35 cities worldwide, with 12 new entries from Copenhagen, Dubai, Hiriketiya, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, London, Madrid, Singapore, and Toronto. Leading the list once again are bars from the USA, with seven bars across four cities; whereas UK is the frontrunner for Europe with four bars out of 18 within the continent. Across Asia, the list includes 14 bars, including three from Singapore, as well as the first ever entry from Sri Lanka.
The World’s 50 Best Bars 2024 will be announced in Europe this month for its 16th annual iteration, congregating the global bar network in Madrid to celebrate and acknowledge the outstanding innovation and hard work of teams and individuals from the bar community. Through the extended list, 50 Best honours the industry’s exceptional achievements on an even grander scale.
