As Singapore counts down to the return of Formula 1 this September, motorsport fans have a new reason to head to the F1 Pit Building – and it’s not just for the roar of engines. From 6 July to 3 August, a new pop-up exhibit titled ‘F1NIGHTRACE: ALL ACCESS’ will welcome visitors into the often-invisible world of race-day operations.
Housed within the iconic F1 Pit Building, this free, self-guided exhibition offers a glimpse into the adrenaline-fuelled world of Formula 1 from angles usually reserved for insiders. It’s a timely reveal as the city gears up for its much-anticipated night race – and opens a rare window into the machinery, manpower and precision that drive the sport forward.

A Closer Look at Race Day
For motorsport enthusiasts and the F1-curious alike, the experience is part archive, part playground. Visitors can immerse themselves in Singapore’s motorsport history, try their reflexes on professional-grade race simulators, decode the language of trackside flags, and explore the vital role of race marshals.
But the real draw may be the access to spaces usually off-limits to the public – think the Media Centre, the Cool Down Room, and even the winner’s podium. With interactive elements and photo moments peppered throughout, the exhibit manages to be both informative and Instagram-friendly.Adding to the buzz are giveaways that include passes to the 2025 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, Thursday Pit Lane Experience entries, and other prizes. Entry is free, but capacity is limited – so visitors are advised to pre-register on singaporegp.sg.

Shifting Gears: Engaging the Next Generation
Beyond the Pit Building, the programme is also accelerating its youth outreach. Since 2012, nearly 105,000 students have participated in Singapore GP’s education initiatives. Now in its 11th year, the programme continues to expand, engaging students from 15 secondary schools, junior colleges, and the Institute of Technical Education.
Jointly organised with the Mastereign Group, the school sessions go beyond the spectacle to explore the science and technology behind Formula 1. From STEM Racing miniature cars to a Go-Kart ‘show and tell’ led by the Legion of Racers, students are offered hands-on insight into the world of automotive engineering – and the career pathways it can unlock.

More to Come Before Lights Out
This exhibit is only one gear in a larger engine of community events rolling out in the lead-up to race week. Additional initiatives – including the fan-favourite Thursday Pit Lane Experience and open-air screenings of selected Formula 1 races – are set to be announced in the coming months under the #RevUpSG banner.
With its mix of behind-the-scenes access, educational outreach and community engagement, ‘F1NIGHTRACE: ALL ACCESS’ is less about selling speed, and more about slowing down to understand what it takes to make a Grand Prix happen – right down to the final flag.
