This was one of the many awesome views on my John Muir Trail (JMT) hike. I had an amazing secluded campsite a little higher on the hill, and went down a little before six in the morning as I saw the beautiful light. The model was not planned, it was just another hiker enjoying the view! The John Muir Trail (JMT) is a long-distance trail in the Sierra Nevada mountain range of California, passing through Yosemite, Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. The Trail’s official length is 210.4 miles (338.6 km), with an elevation gain of approximately 47,000 feet (14,000 m).
