Aman Unveils a New Island Oasis in the Maldives

Aman Maldives is the growing hospitality brand's 21st destination worldwide and the latest addition to its 35-strong collection of luxurious sanctuaries.

In the shimmering heart of the Indian Ocean, where the horizon blurs between sea and sky, Aman, a pioneer in the conception of timeless sanctuaries, has unveiled another private gem – an untouched island oasis in the Maldives. Far from the crowds, this new paradise invites discerning guests to experience the raw beauty and tranquility that only Aman can offer. Situated on one of the most spectacular archipelagos on Earth in Vaavu Atoll, Aman Maldives is the growing hospitality brand’s 21st destination and the latest addition to its 35-strong collection.

More than just a retreat, Aman Maldives is a rediscovery of peace comprising verdant green islands and white sands, featuring 52 key resort and 16 branded residences, designed by longtime Aman collaborator Kerry Hill Architects. The luxurious resort’s look and feel echoes the very essence of the destination itself, with its design and architecture embracing the simplicity and beauty of its surrounding environment, and paying homage to the coralline beaches and clear turquoise waters it is so renowned for.

Aman Maldives boasts standalone pavilions offering one to three bedrooms, some nestled on the main island while others rest on its serene offshoots, each complete with a private pool. Guests will also have access to the diverse dining experiences through several restaurants, a beach club, and exclusive private dining spots, all promising exquisite culinary encounters that perfectly complement the island’s relaxed ambiance.

Where wellness is concerned, Aman epitomises holistic luxury by blending serene environments with tailored experiences that nurture both the body and mind. Aman Maldives is no exception and its expansive spa facilities, spanning 2,638 square meters and located on its own island, will bring forth revitalising experiences in health and rejuvenation through its two private Spa Houses, a signature of Aman. The property will also house a dive centre and watersport activities so guests can explore the vicinity’s pristine reefs.

Meanwhile, the 16 Aman Residences at the property, ranging from five to 10 bedrooms, will afford personal enclaves of seclusion and an unparalleled sunrise experience from their far eastern vantage point, where dawn breaks over the horizon. Each residence is set on its own islet complete with a private beach, and the properties are inclusive of a 25-metre swimming pool as well as personal landing jetty, whilst remaining in close proximity to the main resort’s amenities to ensure a seamless experience.

Speaking about this latest destination, Vlad Doronin, Chairman and CEO of Aman Group said, “The introduction of Aman Maldives is a significant milestone for our brand as we bring Aman’s ethos of timeless elegance, unparalleled service, and ultimate privacy to the destination for the first time.”

Having secured a site in the most exclusive and secluded parts of the country, I’m delighted to bring Aman’s renowned lifestyle and ultra-luxury way of living to the destination,” he added.

Aman Maldives takes the brand’s footprint to 21 destinations and joins Beverly Hills, Niseko and Bangkok, amongst others, in a robust network of forthcoming properties. With construction now underway, further details and a confirmed opening date will be announced in due course.
