When you check in to Angsana Laguna Phuket, you should first lock your wallet in the safe, as you won’t need it for the rest of your stay. At this ‘island within an island,’ your room number is the only currency that matters.
Whether ordering a drink by the 300-metre pool, dining at a restaurant across the water, or hopping on a lagoon ferry, you simply charge every experience to your room. The result is a holiday focused on the memories you’re making, not the money you’re spending.
The Loft
Entering a two-storey loft suite at Angsana Laguna Phuket is an experience in itself, one that immediately demonstrates the resort’s commitment to effortless enjoyment. This is brought to life by a design ethos of mastering space, light, and water, made clear by a wall of floor-to-ceiling glass that pulls the quiet lagoon directly into the room.
The spacious living area downstairs opens onto a private balcony, making the line between indoors and outdoors simply disappear. Upstairs, the bedroom serves as a true retreat, intentionally positioned so the first sight upon waking is the soft morning light on the water. This restorative feeling is woven into every detail, including a clean palette of white grounded by dark wood accents and standout features like the open-air rain shower.
While a few details like the mosaic-tiled bathtubs nod to the resort’s heritage, the space remains intentionally uncluttered. It’s a design that makes you quickly realise this retreat is reason enough for the entire trip, yet it’s reassuring to know that this same ethos of light and space extends to all rooms.
The Experiences
The greatest challenge at Angsana Laguna Phuket isn’t finding something to do, but deciding which version of yourself you want to be each day. With its ‘101 Things to Do’ philosophy, the resort offers less an itinerary and more a passport to every possible mood, allowing your holiday to unfold with incredible variety.
You might spend an hour in quiet concentration, learning the intricate art of leaf folding and turning simple palms into delicate sculptures. An hour later, that focus gives way to total relaxation by the pool, where cocktails are delivered directly to your sun lounger on the resort’s man-made beach. When you’re ready to raise your heart rate, you can trade quiet moments for quick movements in an introductory Muay Thai class suitable for all ages.
Alternatively, you can take on the challenge of the championship golf course, where mountains and lagoons frame your every swing. Offering just a glimpse of the 101 activities available, these four experiences prove one thing – a single day at this resort can be anything you want it to be.

The Wellbeing
The resort’s belief that every moment of action requires an equal moment of peace finds its physical expression in the award-winning Angsana Spa. It’s a space designed for deep restoration, and proof of its effect is in the number of guests who book a second treatment before their first stay is even over.
For us, the highlight was the ‘Angsana Spa Signature’ massage – the therapist’s intuitive focus on areas of deep-seated tension felt like months of stress simply melting away. The menu is just as thoughtful for others, offering the ‘Best Friend Care’ experience for companions and a dedicated Kids’ Spa for the youngest visitors.
The Cuisine
Dining at Angsana Laguna Phuket is a journey that shifts with the sun. Our mornings usually began at The Market Place, the resort’s hub for breakfast, which features live cooking stations with a wide selection of both international and local Thai dishes.
Once the day is in full swing, the focus shifts to the beachfront, where XANA Beach Club offers a quintessential daytime escape with its chill-out music and a pool providing sweeping views of the Andaman Sea. Just next door, Azura provides a more refined, semi-al fresco experience with its Italian and Mediterranean menu. We discovered a clever tip here: guests at Azura can also order from the XANA menu – an ideal option for a romantic sunset dinner in a quieter setting.
However, our favourite experience was the resort’s most personalised Fresh Seafood Market. Here, you can make your pick from the day’s catch – from red snapper to tiger prawns – all resting on beds of ice. You simply choose your seafood, consult with the chef on your preferred cooking style – grilled, steamed, or stir-fried with Thai herbs – and they prepare it just the way you like it.
The Scene
Adding a new dimension to an already compelling destination, the recently opened RAVA Beach Club is situated directly on the sands of Bang Tao Beach. If XANA is the resort’s go-to for relaxed, seaside lounging, RAVA is its vibrant, energetic counterpart, designed to help guests find their personal ‘Flow State of Mind’.
The venue caters to every mood, from the high energy of the Young & Fun Zone’s resident DJ to the live-action cooking at the Master Grill. Younger guests have their own dedicated Kids’ Zone to explore, while the Prestige Lounge provides an exclusive retreat for select members.

In short, Angsana Laguna Phuket is a place that understands that true luxury is the freedom to do everything, or nothing at all. You may not get to all 101 experiences in a single trip, but you’ll certainly leave with 101 reasons to return.
