Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2025 Heads to Macau this July

For the first time, Asia’s 50 Best Bars awards heads to Macau, gathering the region’s top bartenders and cocktail pioneers.

The highly anticipated 10th edition of Asia’s 50 Best Bars will take place live in Macau on 15 July 2025. Held in partnership with Wynn Macau and Wynn Palace, this marks the first time the prestigious event and its accompanying programme will be hosted in the city.

Asia’s 50 Best Bars is the region’s most prestigious guide to cocktail excellence. The list is voted on by a gender-balanced Academy of over 300 bartenders, bar owners, writers, and drinks experts from across Asia. With each member selecting up to seven venues, the result is a dynamic and credible snapshot of the continent’s top bar experiences – independently verified by Deloitte.

Highlights of this year’s event include the much-anticipated Bartenders’ Feast, where Macau’s culinary scene takes center stage, and Meet the Bartenders, an intimate media roundtable with the industry’s leading talents. The evening continues with the official ceremony, including red-carpet arrivals, interviews, a drinks reception, and the awards presentation.

This year’s live awards ceremony, culminating in the announcement of The Best Bar in Asia will also celebrate outstanding talent and exceptional bars across the continent. These prestigious accolades are awarded through a meticulous selection process, with the live countdown preceding a series of special awards announcements in the month leading up to the ceremony.

Among the notable awards are:

Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award: This honour recognises the bar that has delivered exceptional service to its guests over the past 18 months, as voted by members of the Asia’s 50 Best Bars Academy.

Altos Bartenders’ Bartender: A peer-selected award, this title is given to a bartender, chosen by their fellow professionals from the 2025 list, who has made significant strides in advancing the craft of bartending.

The 51-100 List: Unveiled before the main ceremony, this extended list highlights the diversity and talent within Asia’s bar culture, offering enthusiasts a broader selection of venues to explore, based on the overall voting results.

Asia’s 50 Best Bars is shaped by the insights of the region’s most respected industry voices. The Academy – an anonymous and gender-balanced panel of more than 300 bartenders, bar owners, drinks journalists, and cocktail aficionados – casts votes based on their expert experiences.

While the voting mirrors the system used for The World’s 50 Best Bars, this version is uniquely focused on Asia. The final list is independently verified by Deloitte to ensure accuracy and integrity.
